KPBS Wins Big at San Diego Press Club Awards
KPBS journalists won awards in 23 categories, including the top honor for Best of Show.
The San Diego Press Club recognized KPBS journalists for their exceptional work in television, radio, photography-video, and integrated media at the 40th Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards.
The award ceremony was held Oct. 29 at the Jacobs Center at Market Creek. KPBS journalists won awards in twenty-three categories, including the top honor for 鈥淏est of Show鈥.
KPBS won 18 first place awards in categories including Television: News Feature- Series; Radio: Feature; Photography-Video: News and Integrated Media: Investigative Reporting.
Featured awards
Among the awards, KPBS Evening Edition won best TV newscast, a first for the San Diego media station.
KPBS also won Best of Show for Best Integrated Media Company for their piece, 鈥淵ou Decide What to Change About San Diego鈥檚 2014 Budget.鈥 KPBS鈥 investigative news partner, inewsource, won Best of Show for Radio for 鈥淪erious Questions about Patient Care at San Diego Hospice.鈥
