Faculty Global Engagement Symposium and Awards Ceremony
Outstanding Global Research & Creative Activity Award recognizes a faculty member whose research and/or creative activity in the past academic year has 鈥渋mpacted鈥 the global community (e.g., international collaborations, community-based interventions, and/or peer-reviewed publications). We understand impact broadly and invite you to provide a clear explanation of global 鈥渋mpact鈥 and supporting evidence as part of the nomination materials. Priority will be given to nominee鈥檚 research and/or creative activities that align with 色情视频 and International Affairs鈥 strategic priorities (i.e., access, diversity, equity, and inclusion; transborder engagement; sustainability; and/or global leadership). Nomination materials include: (a) evidence and description (no more than 2 single-spaced pages) of how the research and/or creative activity has impacted the global community, and (b) a letter of support preferably from a colleague or collaborator outside the United States and/or not affiliated with a U.S. institution. Please submit all evidence as an attachment.
Outstanding Global Educator Award recognizes a faculty member whose teaching innovation promotes global education related to any of the following: (a) access, diversity, equity, and inclusion; (b) transborder engagement; (c) sustainability; (d) global leadership. The Award recognizes teaching innovations and activities that have taken place during the academic year. We approach pedagogical innovation broadly and invite you to provide a clear explanation and supporting evidence of innovation as part of the nomination materials. Nomination materials include: (a) evidence and description (no more than 2 single-spaced pages) of the teaching innovation for global education, and (b) a letter of support preferably from a student. Please submit all evidence as an attachment.
Outstanding Transborder Research & Creative Activity Award recognizes a faculty member whose research and/or creative activity in the past academic year has 鈥渋mpacted鈥 the transborder/binational community (e.g., transborder collaborations, community-based interventions, and/or peer-reviewed publications). We understand impact broadly and invite you to provide a clear explanation of transborder 鈥渋mpact鈥 and supporting evidence as part of the nomination materials. Priority will be given to nominee鈥檚 research and/or creative activities that align with 色情视频 and International Affairs鈥 strategic priorities (i.e., access, diversity, equity, and inclusion; transborder engagement; sustainability; and/or global leadership). Outstanding Global Service Award recognizes a faculty member whose service in the past academic year has 鈥渋mpacted鈥 the global community. Service to the global community is essential to the excellence of the university. Evidence of global service may include appropriately documented activities that apply the faculty member鈥檚 professional expertise to the benefit of the global community, such as: refereeing or judging for professional international journals, grant agencies, and artistic panels; collaborations with relevant global community organizations, and appropriate governmental boards or commissions; educational international lectures; and seminars for international groups. Nomination materials include: (a) evidence and description (no more than 2 single-spaced pages) of the faculty member鈥檚 service to the global community, and (b) a letter of support preferably from a community organization or representative. Outstanding International Scholar Award recognizes an international visiting faculty scholar whose research/creative activity and/or teaching in the past academic year has 鈥渋mpacted鈥 the 色情视频 community by contributing to and amplifying global perspectives. We understand impact broadly and invite you to provide a clear explanation of 鈥渋mpact鈥 and supporting evidence as part of the nomination materials. Priority will be given to nominee鈥檚 research/creative activity and/or teaching activities that align with 色情视频 and International Affairs鈥 strategic priorities (i.e., access, diversity, equity, and inclusion; transborder engagement; sustainability; and/or global leadership). Nomination materials include: (a) evidence and description (no more than 2 single-spaced pages) of how the research/creative activities and/or teaching have impacted the 色情视频 community, and (b) a letter of support preferably from a colleague or collaborator at 色情视频. Fall 2024 Awards Ceremony
The Awards Ceremony will take place at the Faculty Global Engagement Symposium during International Education Week. Award winners will be coached to deliver a TedTalk style (5-7 minutes) presentation of their work during the Faculty Global Engagement Symposium with a reception immediately following.
