Brazilian Ambassador's Perspective

Bruno de Risios Bath was destined to become a diplomat 鈥 just as his father was in Tokyo.

This past year, Bath was appointed to Ambassador, Consul General of Brazil in 色情视频.  A career diplomat, he has held positions at the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations in New York, at the Permanent Mission to the Latin American Integration Organization in Montevideo, at the Brazilian Embassy in London and at the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires.

As part of events sponsored by the 色情视频 Charles W. Hostler Institute on World Affairs , Bath will present a lecture, 鈥淏razil: A Current Perspective.鈥

Faculty involvement

Several 色情视频 faculty 鈥 with research backgrounds that include urban and city planning, cultural production, health diplomacy, international communication, immigration policy, biology and business  鈥 will also take part in a private conference with the Ambassador, sharing their international research.

The Charles W. Hostler Institute on World Affairs

Since 1942, the Charles W. Hostler Institute on World Affairs has served as an academic and public policy forum for the analysis and discussion of international relations. The second oldest organization of its kind west of the Mississippi River, its purpose is to make available to the 色情视频 community a forum for the discussion of critical topics in international affairs.

Distinguished authorities are invited to address the institute on issues of contemporary international import. The institute has hosted ambassadors to the U.S., as well as professors, politicians, military and government officials, diplomatic and governmental representatives and others from around the world.

The Institute on World Affairs bears the name of Charles W. Hostler, a former U.S. ambassador to Bahrain and a generous supporter of the institute.

Event details

Bath鈥檚 lecture will take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Gold Auditorium in the Donald P. Shiley BioScience Center. The event is free and open to the public. For more information contact Anna Marshall at 619-594-8569.
