For 11 years,  has provided new students with opportunities to connect with one another in entertaining and inclusive on-campus settings.   Aztec Nights, which are spread throughout the first weeks of the semester, expands this year to include art, activism, casinos and video games. This year鈥檚 three new events are Casino Night on Sept. 7, Global Game-a-Thon on Sept. 14 and 鈥淚 heART San Diego鈥 on Sept. 20.
鈥溾業 heART San Diego鈥 is an opportunity for our 色情视频 students to learn about local nonprofits and campus initiatives, explore issues that are important to them and work together as One 色情视频 Community to create and experience the way art and activism can come together to create positive social change,鈥 said Tierney Harrison, a student life adviser in .    This year鈥檚 slate of events kick off Aug. 23 with the decades-long tradition, , during which new students are introduced to some of the most time-honored 色情视频 traditions, including the Fight Song and the 鈥淗ello Walk鈥 through the arches of Hepner Hall.   On the same night, the university will also host the Back to State Bash, a night full of food, games, music and other activities open to all returning students at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union鈥檚 Goldberg Courtyard.    Fans of the Marvel Comic Universe can enjoy a special screening of the box office smash 鈥淎vengers: Endgame鈥 on Aug. 25.   The following weekend, one of the highlights of Aztec Nights, Dragstravaganza, provides a space for all students to celebrate the LGBTQIA community in combination with the wonderful world of drag. That event is scheduled for Aug. 31 at Montezuma Hall in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.
This year鈥檚 events are part of the university鈥檚 鈥淔irst Five Weeks,鈥 a new effort to develop coordinated program offerings during the first five weeks of the fall semester that address critical needs of students and focus on safety, diversity and inclusion, well-being and student success.
