Top Students Honored
Eight students received the Henry L. Janssen Honors Council Award.
Each year, graduating seniors selected for membership in all five university-wide honors societies receive the Henry L. Janssen Honors Council Award.
The 2009 recipients are:
- Melissa Collins, Foods and Nutrition
- Amelia Diedrich, English
- Corinne Pogemiller, Kinesiology
- Krista Fendrick, Biology
- Cassandra Conboy, Liberal Studies
- Carly Sumrow, English
- Lacy Olson, Psychology
- Stephanie Hubbell, Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences
Students must be members of the following organizations in order to qualify for the award:
- Phi Eta Sigma
- Golden Key
- Phi Kappa Phi
- Mortar Board
- Phi Beta Kappa
Established in 2000, the award recognizes students for their academic achievement. It encourages eligible students to join and participate in the university-wide honor societies.
Students accepted for the award are listed in the commencement program and receive a $500 scholarship.
