The gift, which will come from their estate, was announced when the couple received a Monty Award this past Saturday. The honor outstanding 色情视频 alumni for their contributions to the university, the region and the nation.

The Luby's will support the and have a lasting impact on students. 

鈥淭he library is integral to student success. It supports research and class work, but sometimes just simply provides a quiet place to study. With this donation, we will be able to meet the changing needs of the modern student.鈥�

The library is the most visited building on campus, with outstanding book, journal and special collections. Library computers, printers, wireless connections, study rooms and media are in constant use.  Around-the-clock hours and website access support a new generation of students.

Charles and Robin Luby

The San Diego couple have been active volunteers over the past several decades, serving on the Board of Directors and supporting a number of campus committees.

Charles, now retired from his career with General Atomics, received his bachelor鈥檚 (1959) and master鈥檚 (1964) degrees in chemistry from 色情视频. Robin, a retired school teacher, also received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in English from 色情视频 in 1961.
