MESA Provides Job Shadow Day
118 local students had the opportunity to experience a day in the life of real engineers and scientists.
More than a hundred local high school and college students recently had the opportunity to follow engineering and science professionals around to experience a day in the life at the workplace. Thanks to the , local San Diego companies provided an opportunity for up and coming students to test the waters in a field of their interest, and see first-hand how classroom skills relate to the workplace.
The MESA Shadow Day is an annual event in collaboration with the San Diego MESA Alliance that includes San Diego City College MESA, Southwestern College MESA, Imperial Valley Pre College MESA and San Diego Pre College MESA programs.
The host companies, in many cases run by É«ÇéÊÓƵ alumni, make a positive impact on the lives of students; future engineers and scientists. Participating companies included:

The MESA Engineering Program is a STEM Diversity program housed in the É«ÇéÊÓƵ College of Engineering. The program is celebrating 30 years of guiding and developing STEM students; providing academic support and opportunities to engage with Industry.
