The Great American Trailer Park Musical
色情视频's presents "," with music and lyrics by David Nehls and book by Betsy Kelso.
This is not your Mother鈥檚 musical! The Broadway musical romp takes the audience to Florida鈥檚 most exclusive down-home trailer park, Armadillo Acres. Packed with quirky characters, big hair and road kill, this delightfully trashy, double-wide comedy will leave viewers doubled over with laughter.
An ensemble of wacky neighbors
"The Great American Trailer Park Musical" is directed and choreographed by master of fine arts in musical theatre candidates Kikau Alvaro and Jacob Brent who have added an ensemble to the show, which is usually performed without one.
鈥淲e鈥檙e inviting more people to the party and populating Armadillo Acres with more characters,鈥 Alvaro explained. 鈥淎s the show has only been performed off-Broadway in New York, it鈥檚 fun to think of what the Broadway version would look and feel like. There is certainly a lot more choreography in our version. The audience will be on board with us from the first moment. This show is pure fun.鈥
鈥淭he ensemble gives this piece more of a sense of community,鈥 Brent said. 鈥淏eing from the south, I have several family members who could be in this show. There are a lot of laughs, and there is also a lot of heart. It鈥檚 kind of like that guilty pleasure TV show that we all have but don鈥檛 want anyone to know we watch.鈥
Value in teamwork
For Alvaro and Brent, directing this show has fulfilled a bucket list dream, and the journey has developed a partnership they hope to continue.
"It鈥檚 just a good show with a lot of laughs,鈥 Brent said, 鈥淔or me, it鈥檚 been an opportunity to refine and develop a true collaboration and with Kikau. We have been studying great theatrical teams in our history class. Maybe one day they will be studying us, and it all started here at 色情视频.鈥
