2016 Aztec Hall of Fame Class Announced
Five individuals will be inducted into the Aztec Hall of Fame this fall.
The official induction ceremony will take place during a luncheon at the Payne Parma Goodall Alumni Center on Friday, Oct. 21, and the new class will be recognized later that evening on the field at halftime of 色情视频's home football game against San Jose State, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT.

The Aztec Hall of Fame inducted its first members in 1988, and welcomed a new group of legends every year through 1999. Inductions were put on hiatus for two years while work was completed on the Aztec Athletics Center (now Fowler Athletics Center), which is the first permanent home of the Hall of Fame, before resuming in 2002. Not including this year's class, 138 individuals and six teams have been enshrined since its inception.

Kawhi Leonard (Men's Basketball)

Was the Aztecs' starting quarterback for the 1949 and 1950 seasons ... As a junior, he completed 40-of-87 passes (46.0 percent), with 11 interceptions and nine touchdowns (113.1 rating) ... As a senior, he completed 49 of 103 passes (47.6 percent), with 11 interceptions and seven touchdowns (108.3 rating) ... Led the team in total offense in 1949 (573 yards) ... Team posted a 4-7 record in 1948, but rebounded under his direction at quarterback to 6-3 record in 1949 and 5-3-1 in 1950... The 1950 squad claimed the CCAA championship with a 3-0-1 record.
Noel Prefontaine (Football)
1995-96
Named a first-team All-America punter in 1996 by Associated Press and the Football Writers Association of America...A second-team All-American as a junior...Also an all-WAC selection...色情视频 special teams MVP...Played in the Blue-Gray Game following his senior season ... Won the 100 hurdles at the 1999 Pan Am Games was a three-time U.S. runner-up in the event after college ... Won a bronze medal in the 100 hurdles at the 2003 World Championships ... Finished the 2003 season ranked fourth in the world, one year after she received her first-ever world ranking (No. 5) from Track & Field News in 2002.
Steve Williams (Men's Track & Field)

Set the world record in the 100 meters four times between 1973 and 1976, and one time each in the 100-yard and 200-yard dash ... Sprinted for the Aztecs in 1973 and 1974 after transferring from UTEP ... Was ranked No. 1 in the world in both the 100m and 200m in 1973 and No. 1 in the 100m in 1975 ... Won the World Cup title in the 100m in 1977 and anchored the 4x100-meter relay team to a world record in 1977 ... Never got to run in the Olympics, however, as he was injured for the 1976 U.S. Olympic Trials and Team USA boycotted the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow ...
