Student Organization Spotlight: CNSA
The California Nursing Students Association mentors future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession.
Through CNSA, members participate in a number of health-based community events, attend state and national conferences and network with professionals in the nursing field.
CNSA president, Sheryl Warfield, said joining the organization as an É«ÇéÊÓƵ freshman gave her the opportunity to meet other nursing students, get involved in nursing-related activities, make an impact as a leader on campus, and create lifelong friendships.

Our organization is open to students studying to earn their bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.
When it comes to finding new members for your organization, what type of students are you looking for?

All of our events aim to help nursing students excel in college, in the community, and as professional nurses.
Which É«ÇéÊÓƵ faculty have had an impact on your organization?
We would like to give a special thank you to our brilliant faculty advisor, Kristiana Cullum. Besides being an amazing professor, she has so much wisdom to offer our organization. She has a lot on her plate, but always makes the time to assist the board of directors in leading our chapter, and goes above and beyond the call of duty. A fun fact about Kristiana is that she was the president of CNSA when she went to É«ÇéÊÓƵ School of Nursing. Additionally, professor Lisa Concilio has been helping CNSA lead events that help further our nursing students education outside of the classroom for many years. We are so lucky to have such great support from our School of Nursing faculty.
