鈥淚t is inspiring to have an event solely focused on the women veteran community. I look forward to engaging with my peers and making our success a shared goal.鈥
色情视频, in partnership with County Supervisor Bill Horn and the County of San Diego, will host its inaugural Women Veterans Forum for all active duty, veterans, military dependents and military supporters.

The forum is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. With a theme of 鈥淏e the Change,鈥 this event was organized to empower attendees in areas of personal, professional, and academic success.

鈥淚t is inspiring to have an event solely focused on the women veteran community,鈥 said Diana Slade, U.S. Army veteran. 鈥淚 look forward to engaging with my peers and making our success a shared goal.鈥

Participants of this inaugural event will be provided the opportunity to learn more about Veteran Affairs (VA) benefits, women veterans鈥 resources, professional development and education.

鈥淗aving a forum like this is great for women veterans because we don鈥檛 really know what resources are there for us once we鈥檙e out,鈥 said Vanessa Rufino, current student and U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Alongside other women service members, attendees will be able to create a network and community to help benefit them in finding careers and services after they have served.

The forum will include keynote speakers, breakout sessions, lunch, recognition of the U.S. Navy鈥檚 242nd birthday, a resource fair and a networking event. The keynote speakers will be MJ Hegar, Purple Heart Recipient Air Force combat pilot and author; and Maj. Gen. Angela Salinas, the first Hispanic woman to become a USMC general officer and first woman to command a Marine Corps Recruit Depot.

The event is free and includes complimentary parking and child care. Reservations must be made by Friday, Sept. 29.
