É«ÇéÊÓƵ, in conjunction with the Mountain West Conference, has announced the men’s and women's basketball conference schedule for the 2020-21 season.

For both programs, the conference schedule will include 18 games — nine home and nine road games â€” with each team playing eight opponents twice and two opponents once each.

The  is set to begin Dec. 29 and wraps up on March 6, while the 18-game  will begin on  Dec. 31 and conclude March 2.

Following the regular season, both teams will participate in the 2021 Mountain West Basketball Championship at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The women’s basketball championship will be held March 7-10, followed by the men’s basketball championship March 10-13.

Looking to defend last season's Mountain West regular-season crown, Head Coach Brian Dutcher and the Aztecs welcome back three returning starters in all-conference senior forward Matt Mitchell, senior guard Jordan Schakel and junior forward Nathan Mensah

The Aztecs, who finished last season ranked No. 6/6, posted a 30-2 record and held the nation's longest winning streak at 26 games, return seven letterwinners and will bring nine newcomers into the fold, featuring CSU Northridge graduate transfer Terrell Gomez, who led the NCAA in free-throw percentage last season and was a two-time All-Big West performer as well as the conference's Freshman of the Year in 2017-18.

The women’s basketball team returns starting guards Sophia Ramos, an all-conference selection last season, and Téa Adams. Mallory Adams, an all-conference honorable mention selection as a freshman in 2018-19, will also return after an injury limited her to six games last season.

Both programs’ non-conference schedules will be released at a later date.
