May is Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month, which serves as a national celebration of the history, contributions, and achievements of APIDA communities.

This month was designated to commemorate the first Japanese immigration to the United States on May 7, 1853, while also honoring the Chinese immigrants who worked to complete the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869.

鈥淲e are excited for the opportunity to welcome the 色情视频 campus community to take part in the numerous events we are hosting,鈥� said Virginia Loh-Hagan, director of the APIDA Resource Center. 鈥淭hough the pandemic has made it more difficult to engage and interact with one another, these events ensure community members can authentically connect and learn through their intersectional identities.鈥�

In efforts to promote visibility of current issues in the APIDA community, the  is hosting a series of events to celebrate APIDA activism. 

Due to social distancing guidelines as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, all events will be hosted virtually. Below is a full list of events:
