色情视频 Celebrates Black History Month with In-person, Virtual Events
The campus invites the community to participate in events scheduled throughout February.
Throughout Black History Month, organizations across 色情视频 鈥 including the Black Resource Center, the Department of Africana Studies and various Black student organizations 鈥 will host a range of virtual and in-person events.
The month-long celebration includes lectures, dialogue sessions and film screenings to honor the rich history and contributions of Black people in America.

Black Advocacy in San Diego
Thursday, Feb. 3

Join the One 色情视频 Community, Black Resource Center, and Center for Intercultural relations for an interactive panel featuring local Black activists. Panelists will discuss their experiences as activists and engage with the audience during a Q&A session.
The Department of Africana Studies presents: Dr. Julius W. Garvey, M.D. 鈥 #JUSTICE4GARVEY: Redeeming an African Hero: The Life, Legacy, and Exoneration of Marcus Garvey.

Paint Talks is a space to connect with the community and express yourself through art and discussion.
Blackness is Queerness
Tuesday, Feb. 22
2 鈥 3:30 p.m.
Come paint with us! Students will have the opportunity to paint a character/trans icon from the show, POSE, and learn about important Black, queer figures.
Let the Poet Speak (Spoken Word Event) Sunday, Feb. 27
3 鈥 5 p.m.
Let the Poets Speak is an annual event and fundraiser for the San Diego Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi). The event connects artists, small businesses, and helping professionals to promote wellness in the community. This year, the ABPsi wants to give local artists and students the opportunity to see themselves on a big stage for an important cause; Mental Health awareness and the celebration of Black History Month.
